Pronounced “SEAN HAHN”
I’m a writer based in the SF Bay Area. Some of the things I’ve written about: philosophical fiction, running, long-distance relationships, tiny-home videos, theoretical CS, lookism, cryptography, friendship, migratory grief, programming languages, films, Google Docs, possibly the greatest PhD advisor ever, being lazy (sort of), Steven Yeun, and more.
Unlike more legit publications on this platform, Occasionally Examined Life is just a casual and irregular newsletter that began as a life/writing update to my friends. (So this will stay free forever.) Hence zero monetizable insights, just some human condition-y musings.
Despite the low-grade content warning, I hope you'll subscribe! The average frequency of this newsletter has been, so far, eight months, so I don't think I’ll ever be at risk of overwhelming your inbox.
